Impact Weather: Thunderstorms Wednesday could bring heavy downpours, strong wind gusts

GOING TO KEEP THAT STREAK OF RAIN ON THE WEEKENDS GOING? WELL, LATEST INDICATION ARE WE MIGHT HAVE TO AT LEAST START MENTIONING SUNDAY POSSIBLE THE TREND IS GOING IN THAT DIRECTION. AND SO WE’LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. IT LOOKS LIKE THE WEEKEND IS GOING TO START GORGEOUS ON SATURDAY, AND MAYBE WE GET CLIPPED WITH A FEW SHOWERS BEFORE IT ENDS ON SUNDAY. RIGHT NOW WE DO HAVE SHOWERS IN THE AREA. SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS NORTH OF BALTIMORE, HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SHOWING UP SOUTH OF BALTIMORE. THERE’S THE RADAR SITE AT BWI MARSHALL AND THEY’VE GOT SOME PRETTY GOOD RAIN COMING THROUGH THERE RIGHT NOW SOUTH OF ANNAPOLIS. POCKET OF MODERATE RAIN OVER ON THE EASTERN SHORE AND QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY, AND THEN DRY WEATHER BACK TOWARD FREDERICK TO OUR WEST. THERE WAS A WARNING ISSUED DOWN IN CALVERT COUNTY FOR THIS LINE OF STORMS, WITH SOME HEAVY THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY, GUSTY WINDS, HEAVY DOWNPOURS THAT’S MOVING OUT OVER THE BAY. SO ANYBODY OUT ON THE BAY RIGHT NOW SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR THAT STORM TO MOVE ACROSS THE BAY AND OVER TOWARD TALBOT AND NORTHERN DORCHESTER COUNTIES IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. THERE’S ALSO A WARNING UP IN SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA FOR A STRONG CELL UP THERE, AND YOU CAN SEE IT’S. KIND OF SCATTERED AROUND THERE, COMING AT US IN WAVES, LINES OF SHOWERS AND STORMS THAT WILL BE WITH US THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING UNTIL THIS FRONT CAN PASS US BY. GET OFF THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST AND USHER IN SOME SEASONABLY CHILLY TEMPERATURES. THAT AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE TO OUR NORTH AND WEST IS GOING TO CLEAR THE SKIES OUT. BEGINNING LATER TONIGHT AND FOR THURSDAY MORNING, AND CERTAINLY ON FRIDAY MORNING. IT IS GOING TO FEEL QUITE CHILLY AS WE HEAD TOWARD THE END OF MAY WITH A BLAST OF COOL CANADIAN AIR DIPPING. THOSE TEMPERATURES DOWN. YOU’LL SEE THAT ON FUTURECAST. THIS IS 645 THIS EVENING, AND AGAIN, THE ORIOLES PLAYING BASEBALL IN BALTIMORE. FIRST PITCH SCHEDULED FOR 630. THERE WILL BE SOME SHOWERS AROUND, BUT THEY SHOULDN’T LAST ALL THAT LONG. BY 8 OR 9:00, THEY’RE MOVING EAST OF US BY TEN. MOST OF THE AREA IS JUST SEEING PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES, AND BY THURSDAY MORNING WE’RE CLEAR AND COOL. TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 50S IN THE NORTHERN SUBURBS, 40S IN THE MOUNTAINS. BUT IT WILL BE EVEN CHILLIER AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO FRIDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES MAY GO TO FREEZING IN SOME OF THE COLDER MOUNTAIN VALLEYS OUT IN WEST VIRGINIA AND WESTERN MARYLAND. THAT’S 31 AT CANNON VALLEY, 33 AT MCHENRY. EARLY IN THE MORNING ON FRIDAY, AND EVEN AREAS NORTH AND WEST OF BALTIMORE WILL BE IN THE 40S, MAYBE SOME LOW 40S IN SOME OF THE COOLER VALLEYS UP IN CARROLL COUNTY. SO SOME CHILLY AIR COMING IN FOR FRIDAY MORNING. THE LAST DAY OF MAY. BUT IT WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON ON FRIDAY WITH LOTS OF SUNSHINE AND TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S, SO SOME SCATTERED EVENING STORMS UP UNTIL 8 OR 9 10:00 TONIGHT BETWEEN 8 AND 10. THEY SHOULD START MOVING EAST OF BALTIMORE AND TAPERING OFF LOW TEMPERATURES BY MORNING IN THE 50S. AS THE SKIES TURN MOSTLY CLEAR, THEN PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES DURING THE DAY. TOMORROW WE’LL HAVE SUN IN THE MORNING. A FEW CLOUDS BUILD UP. IN THE AFTERNOON. THERE IS A 20% CHANCE TOMORROW THAT A BRIEF LITTLE SPRINKLE WILL PASS THROUGH YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, BUT OVERALL, JUST DRY, BREEZY AND MILD WITH HIGHS IN THE MID 70S AROUND BALTIMORE AND LOW 60S OUT IN THE WESTERN MARYLAND MOUNTAINS. SO AGAIN, WE’RE TRACKING THAT CHANCE FOR A FEW SHOWERS FOR THE ORIOLES GAME THIS EVENING. AT FIRST PITCH. BUT BY 8 OR 9:00 THE STORM THREAT IS DIMINISHING AND THE SKIES BEGIN TO CLEAR. THERE’S YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. WITH THAT JUST ABOUT PERFECT WEEKEND. NOW WE’RE UP TO ABOUT A 30% CHANCE OF A SHOWER POPPING UP SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH PARTLY CLOU
