November and December are just busy, busy, busy in our home. I have a hard time finding time to grocery shop much less time to cook dinner. This time of year, I live by quick, easy, yet still delicious recipes.

Pasta is one of the few things my entire family will eat so I try to make a pasta dish at least once a week. The easier, and cheesier, the better! One of the great things about cooking pasta is how creative I can be with it. This baked rigatoni is the perfect example of how easy it is to make a great dinner the entire family will enjoy.

As I said, I have no time to grocery shop this time of year, but we still need to eat. That’s why I am absolutely in LOVE withWalmart Grocery Pick Up. You order all your groceries online or on the app and then set up a pick up day and time. Just drive up to the designated pick up area and they put your groceries right in your car.

It was easy to shop online for this pasta recipe and just pick it up without getting out of my car.

Every good baked pasta recipe starts with a solid pasta. Barilla offers lots of fun pasta shapes and sizes. I picked up two boxes of Barilla Pasta to choose from because I couldn’t decide which one I wanted. I ended up using the rigatoni because I wanted a nice large, sturdy pasta shape.

To make the baked rigatoni, start by cooking the pasta according to package directions and return it to the pot.

Once the pasta is finished cooking drain, and return it to the pot. I like to add a little protein to baked pasta. I added in Italian sausage, but chicken and shrimp would also be delicious.

You can’t really have pasta without cheese, can you? I decided to go with double cheese for this baked pasta and grabbed Galbani Ricotta and mozzarella. Both are also conveniently located at Walmart.

The Galbani ricotta is nice and smooth and creamy. I decided to mix it with the Barilla marinara to make a smooth, creamy rosa type of sauce for the pasta to bake in.

The Galbani chunk mozzarella comes in two styles – one that’s great for slicing and, the one I picked up. which is great for shredding. The Galbani Mozzarella not only shredded easily but it also melted beautifully on top of the pasta.
