13-16 year olds can definitely read it, but more mature 11 year-olds and adults can enjoy it too. There's a bit more intimate romance in the later books, but not much, and for the most part, this is readable for all ages.

This book has some great romance, no sex, just some passionate kisses. There are very few swear words. The violence is a lot, but I wouldn't describe it as "graphic" or "frightening", especially for older teens.

If you love mafia romances with strong tension, enemies-to-lovers, and arranged marriages and are looking for an easy, quick read, I recommend reading “Brutal Prince.” But, if you're not into cheesy dialogue and would instead read a more detailed and stronger-written story, maybe hold off on this one for now.

Aside from some dangerously passionate kissing, I'll say the first book might be a little tame. But there are two more books in the Folk of the Air trilogy that allow them to explore that chemistry, and it only gets more intensely juicy up to the very end.

Is A Court of Thorns and Roses spicy? Yes ACOTAR is spicy, with one, short detailed scene, as well as a couple of steamy scenes. The first book in the series is quite comparatively tame compared to later books. 2.5/5, mildly-medium spice.

Madi ~☆TheBookNerdDiaries☆~ There are some of what appear to be sex scenes but nothing is remotely explicit. It's a lot of talking the running of hands over the other person's body, the fact that she can see his hip above his pants, that sort of thing.

There is not as much spice. For any girlies that are looking for a lot of spice. If you're looking for a lot of world building, the transition from this series to this series. Amazing.

This is a really smutty and steamy romance novel and I highly recommend.
